Meet Andover Responsible Development

the Legal Fight to Stop the Data Center

If you’ve been following Andover’s growing opposition to the proposed High‑Performance Computing Data Center at 248 Stickles Pond Road, you’ve probably heard the name Andover Responsible Development (ARD). Today we want to shine a light on who they are, what they’re doing, and how you can help.

Who Is Andover Responsible Development?

ARD is a grassroots, nonpartisan group of Sussex County neighbors committed to preserving our rural landscapes and promoting planning that respects both people and nature. Fiscally sponsored by the NJ Highlands Coalition (a 501c3 nonprofit), ARD is able to accept tax‑deductible donations that go directly toward protecting our community.

We’re Proud to Support ARD – but We’re Not the Same Group

A quick note: Protect Andover is not directly affiliated with Andover Responsible Development. We launched this site to share information, amplify community voices, and rally opposition to the data center and we wholeheartedly endorse ARD’s mission and their legal fight. The work they’re doing is absolutely critical, and they need the resources to see it through.

Legal battles are expensive. Attorney fees, court costs, and expert witnesses add up quickly, but the cost of doing nothing is far higher. Without this lawsuit, Andover could lose its rural character to industrial development with little to no protections in place

A legal challenge to stop the proposed data center has begun! Andover Responsible Development needs your help to keep the battle going.
